For over 20 years Alan Engel has hand built custom and restored turn-key vehicles for car enthusiasts around the DFW area. He can bring a family heirloom back to life or make a custom supercar fantasy come true.
When people ask me about our classic car restoration services and how I got into classic car restoration and it’s a good question. Although I’ve always had a love of cars, I think it came out of all the wonderful experiences I had growing up and specific times in my life where I felt a kind of control and freedom, the kind that comes from cruising in a vintage car.
It all started with my 1955 Chevy pickup. I was about 15 years old when my father purchased the truck and from the moment I saw it I loved that truck. I’d sit in the driver’s seat for hours day dreaming with my elbow hanging out the door. Although I could barely see over the dash I felt like Mario Andretti.

A custom paint job is when a shop paints your car a completely different color from the current one of your car. At Alan's Restoration Garage located in Haltom City, we will help you create your own custom color or match any color you desire.
We treat all of our client's car like we do our own, with plenty of professionalism and care. Like all quality paint jobs, there is a standard paint preparation process we follow. Pick your color and finish. Once you have an idea of the color, we will help you make sure it's the right color for your vehicle.
Typical body and paint classic car restorations take about 6-8 months to complete. Show-cars can take up to a year. Restorations are by appointment only because we have a wait list.
Alan's Restoration Garage provides superior professional restoration services to all of Texas. We can change the entire color of your car, this includes the interior of the vehicle including the trunk, doors and hood. We don't take short cuts to repair cars which we use to guarantee our work, from start to finish we do the job right and the quality of our work always reflects this.
